Brosil: A game about brazilian culture
In this rhythm action party game, you advance by using your mouse (HTML browser build) or just your fingertip (mobile build), following commands that appear on your screen frenetically. While you test your timing skills with the minigames, get to know more of the diverse south american country, with its' favorite sports; celebrities; books; movies and daily life in general.
I've worked with two other friends on this game for about 4 months. During this time period, we have done a lot of research, designing minigames that could fulfill the theme of brazilian culture, and be doable under such a small period of time. Programs like Google Jamboard, Discord and Trello were used the entire duration of the project while programming on Gamemaker nonstop, to keep us updating each other about what worked and what didn't.
It was an important project for me to work onto team management: assembling each and every content my colleagues produced and adding of my own; keeping the group working under the deadlines... Brosil was also chosen to be presented at PUC-Rio's Design Fair, letting us experience a lot of feedback from the university students.
